Impetus Promotes Four, Expanding Investment in Innovation and Nashville Market Growth

Impetus is excited to start 2023 with the promotion of four company leaders to new positions. The four positions are spread across the organization’s two offices, New Orleans and Nashville, and at the organizational leadership level as well. The promoted leaders include:

William Cotten, RNGD Leader – William Cotten, after working on the Impetus operations and preconstruction teams transitioned into his latest assignment as Director of Innovation, will now move to recently formed sister company RNGD, where he will serve as the company leader. William has thrived since joining the Impetus team in 2018. In his new role over the RNGD entity, he is responsible for finding and applying innovative solutions that advance the overall RNGD and Impetus missions of “building a better world.” William was also named to the 2022 BuiltWorlds Adoption Top 50 List, which is a collection of the top 50 most innovative thinkers in the Country.
Brad Shannon, Project Delivery Leader – Brad Shannon, formerly Impetus’ Building Market Leader in New Orleans, has risen to a new position as Project Delivery Leader with responsibilities spanning across both Impetus offices. As Project Delivery Leader for Impetus, he will drive continuous improvements into the Impetus Operating Systems. His work directly filters into the organization’s overall impact by influencing operational training and development, execution processes and procedures, LEAN methodologies, and ultimately, project outcomes. Brad is also a natural leader as he guides and mentors his team members through project obstacles and rose into this new role through over fifteen years of industry experience and as one of the early members of the Impetus team.

Joe Yenni, Building Market Leader – New Orleans – Joe Yenni, formerly Impetus’ Preconstruction Leader, has been promoted to the position of Market Leader for Building in New Orleans. In this role he will be responsible for the growth, health, and profitability of the local office, working together with our local building team of over 100 members. Through his work, Joe loves navigating new challenges, overcoming them, and seeing his team, both internal and external, benefit from that professional growth. Joe has been a key member of the Impetus team since early 2014 and instrumental as a leader in the New Orleans market over the last 9 years.
Ryan Nash, Building Field Team Leader – Nashville – Ryan Nash, formerly a Senior Superintendent with the company, will now serve as the Field Team Leader for Impetus’ Nashville market area. In this role, he will lead field teams to deliver successful projects. Since beginning his company journey, Ryan successfully delivered multiple large-scale projects on schedule and within budget while working in the New Orleans office. His cost-saving mindset, expertise in navigating complex challenges, and commitment to a safety-first construction site have been a boon to both Impetus’ clients and fellow team members. Ryan’s versatile approach comes from his deep knowledge of various types of construction and will be a valuable addition to the growth of the company’s Nashville office.

All four management-level promotions were announced at Impetus’ annual full team meeting held in New Orleans in January. The elevated roles come alongside a record-setting 2022 year and will help position the Impetus team to achieve even more aggressive growth goals in 2023, aiming to expand their current team of 220 to 250 people in the 2023 year ahead.
