Presenting The Fence at the Lafitte Greenway

Our mission is to build community by driving real change and making positive contributions to the areas in which we work. In line with this mission, Palmisano is pleased to be the presenting sponsor of New Orleans’ first-ever iteration of public photography project The FENCE in partnership with the New Orleans Photo Alliance, PhotoNOLA and Brooklyn-based organization, Photoville.

Installed by Palmisano, The Photoville FENCE is a year-round public photography project exhibited in major parks and downtowns across North America including Atlanta, Brooklyn, Denver, Houston and Seattle.

This exhibition brings compelling visual stories into the public realm, and to a wide and diverse audience. Selected by a jury of 70 prominent curators and photography professionals, The FENCE features the work of over 100 esteemed national photographers, including these 6 talented New Orleans-based photographers —

Every #FENCEfriday throughout the duration of the exhibit, we will be highlighting one FENCE photographer on our social media, offering an in-depth look at their work and process – follow along @palmisanollc on Instagram!

The FENCE is currently open to the public on the Lafitte Greenway trail, starting at Norman Francis Parkway (formerly Jeff Davis) and extending towards Broad Street, featuring 1200 feet of photography! The FENCE will headline the New Orleans’ annual photography festival PhotoNOLA (December 9-12, 2020), with related programming events to be announced. Don’t miss it!
